The BA (Hons) Performing Arts, and BA (Hons) Performing Arts L6 Top-Up courses at the Jelli Studios Campus offers dynamic performing arts education designed to cultivate versatile, industry-ready performers.

 

The curriculum balances the necessary practical disciplines with vital employability and critical analysis skills, ensuring that our graduates possess the necessary attributes skills to excel in the ever-changing performing arts industry.

Classes are taught in state-of-the-art facilities, including fully equipped studios, cutting-edge equipment, and dedicated rehearsal rooms and study areas, providing the ideal environment for honing students’ craft. The teaching faculty comprises of experienced educators and industry professionals who are passionate about nurturing talent. They bring practical knowledge and real-industry insights to the studios, ensuring students are well-prepared for professional careers.

Within the courses, a strong emphasis is placed on the importance of theoretical and contextual study to complement practical training, ensuring the sustainability of a career in the performing arts industry. Entry Requirements: BA (Hons) Performing Arts

 

Minimum of 90 UCAS Points

​

These can include:
A Levels at grade C or above
BTEC Extended Diploma with Distinction or Mert

​

Access to HE Diploma

​

Level 3 qualification would usually include drama, dance or an alternative relevant subject area.

 

 

Subject Specific Requirements

Applicants will be required to attend an audition. The audition consists of taster workshops that include ballet barre, jazz/technique, commercial and contemporary. This will be followed by a short interview with the panel and delivery of a song and monologue, each between 1-2 minutes long. Songs may be sung a cappella or with a backing track.

Entry Requirements for BA (Hons) Performing Arts L6 Top-Up

In addition to a successful audition, we also require a recognised Level 5 qualification (E.g. DipHE/ HND) or equivalent in a suitably aligned performing arts subject area. This should include the study of a suitable research methods module.
